not sure what i want 2 do yet
looking to built my ls if it doesnt sell and not sure what to do to get the max out of the motor I was leaning towards a lsvtec swap but lookin to gain the most from the ls with boosting what are your guys ideas and also stayin cheap cuz i have been raped by the wonderful downsizing of companies.....
i think turbo is the way to go for you..ls-vtec i was always told does not last as long. turbo is probably cheaper and you will more than likely be faster.
LSvtec swaps can be just as reliable as any other motor build. In that case, if you want to get into realibility, i think you mean that turbo would more likely cause more problems down the road than a simple lsvtec swap.
If done the right way, and not cutting corners, the lsvtec swap will be very reliable, with decent power and torque for street use.
Turbo will not be cheaper, but is the best bang for the buck when it comes to adding power. It will be faster, but it all depends on what the OP really wants to do...If you are looking to stay NA, then a "professionally" built LSvtec would benefit you. If, on the other hand, you choose to boost, on the stock motor with stock internals, make sure you dont overdo it. LS motors have low compression, and are great for turbo, but everything has its limits. The internals will go out sooner or later, causing you to haul out the motor, get it rebuilt, and put back in.
Whatever route you take, do it THE RIGHT WAY, so you only DO IT ONCE.
yeah everyone is telling me to boost the ls cause of that but really dont have alot of cash at this time and I am not doing a cheap ebay t3/t4 kit...maybe I am just going to hold off this build for a little but what do you guys run as far as boost psi..? in a everyday drive
no ****ing way am I doing a ebay turbo...look at my last post not doing a ebay turbo no **** all the dumb little ****tards in my area that think they are getting crazy power gains from it are just retarded
