it depends on what your definition of "semi-building" is. i've seen stock bottom end b16's make over 500whp and stay together for 2 race seasons and the only reason it was torn down was to be built to make more power. It now makes 680whp.

The b20 has weaker sleeves that are more prone to cracking. at 300whp you should be ok with them though. Just for security and since your goal is pretty reasonable i would go with the ls/vtec.

The power you will see "stock" may we say out of each depends on what setup you use, whether its a LS block( or b20 block) with GSR head or b16 head, or even ITR head.

ok let me make sure i am reading this right. did you say " i am trying to reach 300 hp as a daily driver" then "I will boost later" then "i will be semi building".

well obviously we all know neither motor stock makes 300 hp so it looks like you are saying you want 300 without boost, so what are your plans to get to the 300 hp, and are we talking about having ac and all that.

yeah reading it again i get that impression too. i just gave him the benefit of the doubt that it's 300hp after boost.
