I was going to start my Civic up and all of the sudden the negative terminal sparked and it smelt like sulfuric ***. Then the it just made a clicking noise like the battery was dead and i hooked the jumper up to it and it started just fine. Has anyone else been attacked by the sulfuric *** smell of a battery?

 

You alternator may be overcharging the battery. Warning: the smell may indicate that the battery could explode. Replace the battery immediately and have the alternator tested.

 

Yeah, I didnt believe batteries exploded until I saw it for myself... Theres was acid all over the bay of some guy with a 4runner....
