so i bought a 96 hatchback, with a d16z6 engine the trans was bad so i swaped trans for a 99 civic Ex, and three or four months later ive been having issues with the car not having much power il press the gas and it struggles if i floor it its kiks in fine or if i just let go of gas pedal nd push again dat sumtimes helps it from acting up, i think its somekind of secor because 95% of the time it runs fine and have no problem getting to 80 on the eway even thou weird enough havent been able to reach 100hp... help tanx

Anyways from what I can decipher its not your trans but your motor. More info, eg: rpms at which point the car bogs, how are you getting your power readings "even thou weird enough havent been able to reach 100hp" and the like.

 

but wen its acting up if i switch it to neutral the engine sounds fineee...?

yes automatic, and yes my cel is on i took it to a mechanic nd he said it was the catalyc converter in this car i have a manifold converter... or that it was the oxygen sencor also wen i took it to autozone they told me it was the oxygen sencor does the oxygen sencior really affect the performance of the car???
