I think you could possibly have the same problem I had where nothing worked period... my problem ended up being the resistance of the fan needed to be changed. I don't know if it's the same price for either the EP3 or the DC5 but it wasn't cheap... 104$ for the part!

The resistance is an actual part. It's a chip that controls the speed of the fan. If it's blown, the fan won't blow any air out... which sound like your problem.

To get to the part, you need to find the Fan Core. I don't know if its the same for the DC5 but for the EP3 its behind the center console at the bottom. It can be accessed threw the passenger side floor. If you aren't comfortable with taking things apart I would suggest you leave to somebody that is! I know because I did it with my buddy who is a mechanic and it was a bit of a pain to get out.

it could... but I have a feeling it's the resistance. If you do end up taking the fan core out plug the fan to some sort of power. We plugged it to a power supply and the fan was working fine then you know its the resistance.

i believe the part that DaveSi677 is referring to is the blower motor resister. which by the sound of it does sound like that is your problem.

it looks like it is accessible by taking the glove box out and it has two screws that hold it in. if you get the part from the dealer or whatever you should be able to see where it is at by what it looks like once you get the glove box out.

Beatfiend, no this part just is for the fan not kicking on. if the heat wont change from hot to cold that is another problem.
