I have a 89 si hatch with a b20b. . . I finally decided its either gunna be boosted or b20vtec. . . I am leaning more towards b20vtec. . .my car is already converted to obd1 . . has full race trac . bar set up also. . .but heres my thing going with the vtec head. . .wouldnt I just be better off dropping a gsr motor in the car??? I would be around the same price range. . im not looking to build the bottom end whether I go boost or b20vtec. . . any input??? I have all the money just dont know what direction to go . I know im going to make more power with boost. . but I would only be running maybe 10psi MAX. . . Thanks

boost for the money its way better. b20vtec is cool tons of torque but if u are not gonna build the bottom end on b20vtec it will only last 6 months tops from my experience.
but my real opinion is boost it with a nice t3/t4 like turbonetics and boost it to 10psi and have it tuned by a good tuner and it will last u a long time .
you should see about 250whp+- which is more then enough for a daily driver.
hope my info helps if u want more info pm me.

I'd say do a B20vtec, just make sure you change the oil pump and it'll last. Then if you feel like you need more after that boost it. Your in a ef so a b20v would feel nice in a light weight car, then like i said if you need more thow a turbo on it.
