Motor bogs with throttle and backfires alot
I have a 98 civic w/ an h22a swap and when i give it gas it bogs down and spits/sputters. Also backfires when i shift. Anyone have any ideas on whats doing this?
cel has been on since i got it but the guy said that he didnt connect all the wires so thats why is was on? How do i check my timing?? I've been stuck on the tranny and axles so long that i haven't even put thought into the motor
Pull the CEL codes. What are they?
Start by hooking up a timing gun, jumping the service connector, and checking what mark on the crank pulley aligns with the pointer. On Civics, the correct mark is the red one that is in the middle of a group of three.
