1993 accord SW ex CODE 12 WTF!
So here is the deal... my check E light keep coming on after driving for a few min. so I checked the codes and got code 12 no EGR lift. So I changed the egr valve and checked the vacuum lines. Still got code 12... So I cleaned the egr ports (took off intake and head and had them cleaned by a machine shop) put all back together still getting code 12..... Changed the vacuum canister that is bolted on the bottom of the intake and still am getting code 12....what could it be? Why am I still getting code 12? All I want is my check E light to go off and stay off.....
Got the same peoblem. Do you have an h22 in you're car? I think it's o2 sensor cause I did the same steps as you. I'm going to the shop today for a water pump I'll figure out there and reply when I
know for sure.
know for sure.
Its in the box on the firewall. Even if you test it by grounding the pink wire, it might seem good. But, they work off a rapid signal (frequency) and it may be slow. Be sure to check the hoses and confirm the EGR valve is holding vacuum. Good luck!

It's the egr valve. You can get a new One but there expensive. Or you can run a p72 gsr ecu and get it chiped and Elimnates the egr. I've heard if hard wiring the egr but don't know for sure. I'll find out.
I will check it out and let everyone know if that is what it was, Can I just get one from a wrecking yeard or should I get a new one???
