Keep tripping code 12

After doing the EGR mod I threw a code 12 ( expected). Keeps trippin' the CEL every time I drive it. Tried pluggin the elec. connector back into the EGR and have reset the ECU 3-4 times. Still comes back on and throws a 12 every time I drive it.

assuming by EGR mod you mean you blocked off the EGR? If it's blocked off it is not going to work and will continue throwing the code. If you remove the plate and reinstall the EGR it should get rid of the light.
