Default Drag WRX from a local NW shop

Just thought I'd share this with you guys cause I know a few of you are into subies.

as the math works out with 450 rwhp and the full race weight with me in it at 2500 lbs we should be running low 10's no problem. we are not going for any crazy power right now because we want to just be able to go out weekend after weekend and run low 10's everytime. maybe at the end of next year we will push it up further but for now reliable is our goal and 450 wheel is very reliable in these engines.

as an update on whats done:
cp forged pistons
wrx heads
arp studs
fp red turbo
gt spec header up-pipe combo rotated by me
45mm turbosmart external wastegate
turbo 400 3 speed trans with straight cut gears and transbrake
6500 stall hughes torque converter ford 9" rear end narrowed with strange axles, strange spool, strange carrier and 4:56 gears
32x16 good year slicks with 14x15 weld pro star drag wheels
aeromotive a1000 fuel pump
redone by me custom fuel rail setup

I am sure there is more I am leaving out but just wanted to get an update in here real quick

thanks-
bobby

The wheels and tires seem a bit much for that much power.

The car could be pushed way more. Reliability and consistency is all he's looking for right now.

the tire that we went with is a little larger than we expected to go but when we got the wheels I was able to get the tires for an extra 100.00 with only a couple passes on them so I said to myself that is a really good deal and its cheaper to buy these tires and make them fit then it is to buy new smaller tires then have to get them mounted and balanced. not only that I do plan on pushing some serious power eventually and I don't want to have to redo anything. I just want to be able to crank up the power and go run it. so yes it is overkill but overkill is a good thing. I have been saying to people that if I cant get a sponsor to throw a motor at this after next race season then I will probably put something really stupid together and go for the world record. right now as far as I know its the Rigoli brothers with a similar setup in a gc chassis that has the "worlds fastest subaru". so for now we just want to run low 10's over and over and over again. then after everyone is pretty much sick of seeing it do 10's then pump it up and see what we can do with it.

thanks-
bobby
