Vtec Malfunction Check Engine Light
First before anything, I looked but couldn't really locate a way around the check engine light so maybe someone can help me. Here is the quick story on what happened, I have an automatic 96 Del Sol Si.(was my DD) The head and motor blew on me, and needed a new motor quick. So in the mean time put in a D16y7, as you guys prolly know its non-vtec. So its throwing a CEL due to the head being non vtec and not hooking up. There is nothing else wrong with the car and need to get it inspected. So does anyone know how to wire it up to get the light to turn off???? Got a ticket for no inspection the other day and only have a few days to take care of it. So just taking out the bulb wont work cause they hook up that machine to read the codes. I really need the help
