Default Parts from Ebay Stores

So I bought an EJ1 for dirt cheap and Im in the process of getting it in winter mode. The motor and trans run fine but there are some things in the motor and suspension that need replacing. I figure since Im replacing the shocks and springs I might as well drop it. Im trying to save costs on this car as much as I can because it's a beater and only meant for daily driving. Are ebay parts safe to use on these Civics?

Im an active member of ClubRSX and on my RSX I steer clear of ebay as much as I can because of the horror stories Ive heard but I only spent $1,000 on this civic and dont want to drop more than another $500 to get it safe again. Ive heard with these old Civics that it's a hit or miss. All that I would like to buy off Ebay are:

Shocks
Springs
Camber Kit
Outer Tie Rods
Control Arms

Most Ebay stores seem to sell the same items and those parts that come up several times are the ones I am referring to. The auto D16Z6 will never be swapped out of this car and if I need to, Ill replace it with another auto D16.

Cliffs:
Are suspension parts from Ebay Stores safe to use on a 92-95 Civic?

i would look on HT classifieds to try and find a used setup there are well.

the cheap ebay suspension will ride horribly, sounds like you are trying to make this a daily driver, ride quality on a DD is pretty important to me.

you can get name brand stuff on ebay, but its usually not much cheaper than just buying it direct.

you should look into function and form coilovers, they are pretty cheap but i hear good things.

im going to get PIC (performance in control) coilovers. their apex's are 860 shipped.

if thats still too much, you can get some kyb gr2s (slighty better than oem) and some eibach sportlines for pretty cheap.

i had agx/sportlines and they rode amazingly well

Thanks! Ill definitely look into those and yeah its meant to be a daily driver. i bought it for my girlfriend and she just wants cosmetics done so ill be sure to post pictures once its done but as far as everything goes, its just to get to and from school/work. ill keep searching the classifieds. i havent had any luck but i dont think im looking hard enough lol.

i just didnt know what to expect since everyone always says they are a hit ot miss with ebay. i may just cough up the money and get the coilovers. grrr

if she just wants a small drop there is no reason to get coilovers, springs will do just fine and ride better. How big of a drop? 1-2 inches?

dont buy any of those parts off ebay, inless they are brand name, and from a seller with a *** load of good feed backs,
ebay is definelty hit of miss.. some people have good luck, while i have had horrible luck,
besides my hood, and bumper that fit ok, my headlights, core support, tail lights fit like complete ***, and netiher lights were sealed, beside the head light having so pos glue that couldnt hold up.

If you know how to shop on ebay there are no problems with the parts from there. There is good and bad stuff on ebay and you simply need to be able to weed out the bad.
