motor runs hot even with new head gasket
ok so my car started running hot so i did the thermostat and the headgasket was bad so i did that new too. it still runs hot shortly after i add coolant to the car.
it all goes into the reserve tank. the water pump is like 4 months old so i have no idea whats wrong.
any thoughts?

yea the rad is full and the overflow. i think somethin may b clogged cuz the head gasket was so bad my coolant was dark as hell with oil floatin in it so maybe thats what it is..?
i dont belive the head was warped but worth a look.
i am flushing it all this week.
but i did however find a big puddle of coolant leaking from under the intake mani

i say check out your heater core. its highly possible that its clogged. i know i had to replace mine in my ef to solve my mystery running warm problem i had.

I would first try to located the leak. If that is not your issue. You need redo the headgasket job again. If you did not resurface the head the first time. Now repeat after me, "I will always resurface the head before installing a new headgasket."
yea im about to go outside now and look at it to find it. i didnt do the headgasket my friends did
and yea im thinkin the head may be warped. its so weird. ever since the headgasket it blows hella blue smoke and the oil light was on solid and i heard valve taps but the dipstick was past full.

If its blowing tons of blue smoke and the oil light is on that is NOT a good sign. They obviously didnt put the headgasket on right at all. Do not run the car because your going to blow something. I bet they didnt TQ down the head properly or its SUPER WARPED. Although it shouldnt be blowing tons of smoke and overheating unless the headgasket is either completely gone or not properly installed, ie not TQing down the head properly.
yea i thought of thay and they said they torqued it to 60lbs.
its just weird cuz the oil light was on an the smoke and **** but the dipstick read past full but the valves tapped so i have no idea and im not the car is just sitting

Well if your hearing the valves like that and the oil light is on then there is a serious issue. Either your Oil pump is dead (probably not because its burning oil), or your headgasket is not on right. Either its the wrong one or it was installed incorrectly, i really dont know. But i think you should pull the head off because there is something seriously wrong there.
Wuz up guys. Yeah I'm having almost the same problem with my 95 civic Ex. So on 08/24/09 I did a swap. I decided to replace the whole engine and did a change headgasket.
To make the story short I was desperate and bought a 99 civic timing belt kit on Ebay.
I was told by friends that it was going to fit but the water pump did not fit so I did not replace it.
Today I lost power and stop check my engine and notices the reserve container was boiling and so I stop and for 5 minutes to let the engine cool and drove back home say 7 minutes or so and shut off my engine to let it cool. So I open the radiator and add coolant cause it need at it and then turn on the engine and then I saw bubbles on my radiator.
I know I did everything right and torque the bolts according to specs.
I will redo the headgasket but this time I'm using Honda OEM parts instead of those cheap ones from Ebay. Now my concern is do you guys thing my head got warped? I did not over heated on me I hope that's a good sign. Will give you updates in couple of days or so since I work late and probably will not be able to finish till the weekend.
