Default Weak Air Flow Through Vents

I have a '92 hatch and for some reason the air flow through the vents is extremely weak. The blower motor is new and seems to be spinning as fast as it should, but the air barely trickles from the vents.

I removed the blower and looked up into the hole that it sits in to see if there was any obstruction. Nothing. I blew compressed air backwards through the vents, that did nothing. The blend doors seem to be working fine ( I can hear them moving) and I don't have air coming out other places (floor or defrost vents).

Any ideas?

If the blower is operating as fast as it can, it will be making lots of turbulence if the air has nowhere to go.

If your doors are all functioning, and in all positions it is still blowing weak, you more than likely have debris in the evaporator case that gets sucked in while in fresh air mode. The evaporator is the first thing the air hits, and quite naturally, the first thing that leaves/napkins get stuck in.

If a door is jamming you will notice it when you move the ****/lever.

That may be it. I don't suppose there is any way to clean out the case without completely removing it?

How much work is it to remove it, if necessary? Does the whole dash need to be pulled out?

Did you use an aftermarket blower that requires installing the connector plug wiring for the required direction of impeller spin. With most non Honda blower motors you must tranfer the impeller and wire it up for the direction the blower must spin.

If you have a REAL honda blower i have no suggestions BUT if it,s a universal blower try reversing the wiring at the connector.

x2, but make sure the blower is spinning the correct direction if it's not an O.E. honda.
