Default Power steering in a hatch?

I was in a Sedan last week and thought damn this steering is nice. So I am thinking about how it would work in a hatch. Obviously I would need
PS pump/ bracket/belt , PS rack, PS lines and reservoir. A PS/ MT equipped ECU, and wire in PSP switch. Question I have?
Are sedan and hatch rear crossmembers interchangeable?
Are PS equipped and non PS equipped steering column yoke spline count/ sizes different?
Would I need the Sedan column too?
I am seriuosly thinking about this any feedback esp. with experience would be greatly appreciated. Also, if not then I will write up if I decide to do this. Thanks

Sedan and hatch crossmembers should be interchangeable. I know I swapped a power rack out of my sedan and put in a manual rack from my crx with no problems. Didn't have to swap out the column either.
As far as going from manual to power, I don't have any ideas. Though it doesn't seem like it should be too difficult. I've probably still got the pump, reservoir and belt laying around if you are going to try it out.

So far so good on the info side. I am going to junk yard today to look at/take some measurements of a sedan crossmember.
BlownEF's power to manual worked so I think I am going forward with this. Will start new thread for the conversion.
Blown what do you want for all you have shipped to 39202? I have lots to trade-- try me?
