How low can i go?!?!??! HELPPP!!!
Ok, so i have some skunk 2 coilover sleeves and some kyb gr-2's. I kinda want the slammed look but now sure how low i can go. I really dont care about how shitty the ride is, i just hate looking at my damn "lift kit" on my car. So H-T please help me out. And please no smart comments or scarcasim, i just want an answer.
Honest answer?
You can't go much, if any, lower than stock, if you want your shocks to last. Of course, even at stock height, they will be so underdamped for those springs they'll probably be blown in no time anyway.
So I guess that means, go ahead and slam it. No matter what height you chose, it is going to be bouncy, so you might as well set it the cosmetic preferred height of your choice.

ok, reason i asked my question is because i have these same shocks and struts on my CRX and sprint 2.5in springs. and it rides rough, i was just wondering how much lower i can go than 2.5
the springs are way too stiff for those shocks. what you have are equal to or worse than oem. even the light civic skunk2 coilovers are 8k/6k which is 450/350lb roughly. you need a koni sport level of shock to control those.if you kept the ride height at least a 2 finger gap the shocks might and i mean MIGHT live for awhile but the car will feel awfully loose at the limit, too much so most likely, you'll probably get snap handling where you come out of a corner and the car snaps back. it's not a fun feelings.
ok. is there another brand coilover sleeve i can resort to? Because i really dont have the money for a full koni/GC set up. Or any full coilover.

you can keep your car at a decent ride height so people don't laugh at you for bouncing on the ground. even the koni oranges for $300 shipped could kind of work with those alright. they also have a lifetime warranty. if you could get $50-75 out of your gr-2s that's only $225-250 more for a set of decent shocks.
If you want awesome ride with a drop and a set up that you could add to later I would buy the Koni sport shocks and just run stock springs for now. You could use the shock it self to lower the springs and get the rebound that you want and later buy the GC's.

he wants that "slammed look" and that is not going to achieve that.
just dump the **** out of car and ride. drop the coils as low as they can go. and drive slow homie. lol.

okay, back to normal. save your dollars for some shock with a lifetime warranty. you'll be blowing shocks up often.

Damn all this? i just asked a simple question. And so far i think i like ejeezzyyyyyyys joint. Not the most info filled statement but, sums up my question
If you want a slammed car, run very high spring rates and shocks that are valved correctly. In this case, your SAFETY costs money. There is no cheap way out. Not to mention, everybody else on the road you could potentially injure if your car slides out of control. Don't skimp out here..
I believe Snap Oversteer was the main contributing factor to my accident, which caused me to total my previous GSR, a year ago. I was slammed, tucking tires, running Koni Yellows with GC coilovers 350F/450R. Great setup, but not stiff enough for such limited suspension travel. I run the same setup on my current GSR, one finger fits between the tire and fender, and it is perfect. No ill, unpredictable effects.
I guess your only paying attention to the answers you WANT to be true.
I have GCs with stock shocks, rode like doo doo after a while, the ride would throw me up from my seat on bad bumps. Now I have stiffer rates GCs and OTS Koni "yellows" and still riding at the same height, now I stay planted on my seat at all times

If your too closed minded to listen to experienced people, why bother asking the question? It sounds like you've made up your mind already.
