Is there a difference at all in the JDM SIR lip and the USDM EX lip

 

yes there is a difference, sir lip would make it look better, butta there is no ex lip, its just the bumper in one piece!

 

correction, there was an ex lip for the 96-98 civic there was a whole kit for the sides and rear as well.

 

Do you have any pics because I have never seen this before for the 96-98 ex?

If you're talking about the 5th gen civic lip, then I am pretty sure the EX/VX lip is the same as the SiR lip. I have the Civic SiR lip on my del Sol. It looks just like the EX/VX lip, unless there's something i'm not noticing about it.

 

on civics that had lips, on the 5th gen civic all the lips looked the same (ex,si,sir, vx?)

 

They all look the same too me. My ex came with one

in Canada the SI coupe came with one, but with drum rear brakes
but the SI hatch came with no lip but came with disk brakes in the rear, is USDM cars like this?

Ok, it depends which gen you're talking about...

The lip for the 5th gen civics si,ex,vx or whatever is all the same. Even for the jdm sir's.

For 6th gen civic's the usdm si lip is the same as the canadian sir lip, because it's pretty much the same car.

And no 96-98 civic came with a front lip in noth america.

 

the jdm is thicker but cant tell by looking at it

 

For 6th Gen USDM 96-98 there was an optional OEM lip. NOFX has one on her car. (Rare), Took her a long time to find it. (hope she doesnt mind me posting a picture)

For the 5th Gen civics im unsure of, I never looked into anything appearance wise with them.
