im changing out my fuel filter in my 1995 civic hatchback and the bottom bolt that is 14 mm
attatched to the Fuel line

Which way do i remove the bottom bolt left or right????
i dont want to damage the fuel line???

Lol exactly. If looking from the bottom of the filter you would be turning it to the left.

So its right if i look on the top of the filter then

do you already have the replacement fuel filter? if so just look at the threads in that bottom of that filter and then you can figure out how the one in the car comes out.

Correct if your looking from the top-down then you would be turning the wrench to the right.

Okay thanks, but i tried turning it and its hella tight im anxious that i might damage the fuel line, what do i do to make it easier i dont want to force it WD40 or is it a bad choice???

Its been answered here....believe me. I tried with out it and couldnt. You will strip it, if you dont use a flare wrench.

Dam ima have to buy me one then just to be safe, btw even if i get the flare nut wrench can i spraw WD40 or no?

i can't remember if the fuel line is a 14mm or 12mm. i'm thinking 12mm. which makes the bottom of the fuel filter a 14mm. make sure you aren't turning the fuel filter rather then the fuel line. AGAIN look at the replacement fuel filter.

Yea if you think your going to strip it then def use a flare wrench. Trust me you would rather spend the money for a flare wrench then damage the line and have to replace that. Also WD-40 isnt going to hurt anything and it can only help.

i also got a question on the fuel line fitting bottom side it has a yellow chalk type color material on the threads ,
what da heck is that,
what type of sealant is it??

Lol I think your paying too much attention, I know you dont want to mess this up so I understand. I've never had any problems not using any type of thread sealant/tape on the threads but I believe its self sealing like on brake lines where the seal occurs internally and not at the threads.

Thanks, i got another question if u dont mind, im trying to install a B&M fuel pressure gauge and on the 90 degree bend and the adapter bolt instruction says to put teflon tape,

is it safe what else can i use for a sealant tape or liquid brand that can handle fuel gas/pressures on the thread.

I put it on the gauge to the adapter but it leaked i made it tighter but im going to add a washer and don't know any brand than Teflon tape?

I got my flare nut wrench at Auto Zone, $8 or so. It will be worth it because the alternative will cost a lot more.

If you go to autozone you should see something similar to this and it should work for your application. Also dont be afraid to really put it on there as well, like with the tape just one wrap isnt going to cut it.

As for the washer, what purpose would it serve? Unless you talking about using one of the copper sealing washers like what was on the upper fuel line? If so those only work for banjo fittings and wont work on the guage. Where is fuel leaking from? Is everything tight? If its leaking from where the banjo fitting meets the filter then you need new copper washers which should have came with your new filter and you only use two(one on top of the fitting and one on the bottom) and if its leaking around the guage adapter then you need more tape/thread sealant.
