Icon3 Anyone who knows mini-me swaps well..

Still trying to find some info. I have a couple questions. I've tried to find info on my own but no where does it specifically tell me what I'm looking for.

First, My engine seems to have good compression (165-167 in all four cylinders). But I burn A LOT of oil. Lots of blue smoke, and I add oil all the time. Does that mean it's the valves? I hope so because I'm swapping the heads and I hope that will fix it.

Also

My situation: I have a D15b8 block, mating it to a D16z6 head. What I need to know is:

Will my D15 distributor work?
My D15 Injectors?
My D15 cam gear?

I have read a bunch of the write-ups, most are for D16B7's with D16Z6's though. What other small things do I need to replace/change that won't work from my original D15.
I know I need the D16 timing belt, ECU, sparkplug wires ect. The main guide I'm using is this one:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/faq-d15-sohc-vtec-mini-me-massive-write-up-56k-goodbye-554053/

But I have read a few otehrs to. Any help is GREATLY appreciated, I don't want this thread to get left behind, I'm trying to get this started this weekend.

Sorry this thread is so long but I wanted to give as much info as possible so you guys can actually help me. THANK YOU.

it could be your piston rings not sealing leaving oil on the cylinder walls.

no
no
maybe.

oh and i know its not a honda-tech link but http://hondaswap.com/hybrid-eg-ek-dc...rite-up-96144/

y8 and z8 are pretty much the same minus some cam differences and quench area. just assume z6 when they say y8. hehe

well im sure theres an oil plug you'll need to pull from the block when the head is off, im not sure if its in the b8 block but its in the b7, also you'll need a z6 dizzy or the base to it and swap out the internals from your dizzy to the z6 dizzy so it'll bolt directly up to it.
other than that i think you got it covered

do a wet compression test and see if any of them go up. if they do, its your rings

You have decent compression, but you should do a leakdown test to see how the rings are. Or do the comp test dry and wet. If they're shot, NPR rings are cheap on eBay as well as higher comp pistons.
