Question about Buffing/Polishing
Alright so when I bought my car it had little scrapes in the rear bumper and rock chips on the front...I will be getting them repainted w/ an HFP kit molded on as well. I want to have the rest of the car detailed so that the whole car looks fresh instead of just the bumpers lol.
1. The car has touch-up paint in a couple spots where there were door dings and I was wondering whether or not a buff/polish will remove the touch-up paint.
2. Should I leave the dings there? Or is it worth it to repaint the entire car and have the dings filled in?
Opinions/Suggestions Welcome
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

if the spot where the touch-up paint is was prepped before application, then should withstand SOME heat from buffing. too much heat/pressure will just pull it out of the spot. if the spot is overfilled, it might be beneficial to wet sand to knock down the spot a but before buffing.
if i understand what you are saying, you have door dings that also have chipped areas within the dented area that are filled with paint. that makes paintless dent removal tough because if you get the dings removed, the paint pops out and you would have to retouch without a guarantee that it would look any better.
hard to say without seeing the car...

in this case your can get away with poping the dent (more then likely) and then just re-applying some touch up paint. Painting the whole panel is going to be a bit expensive and getting it to match somtimes is pretty hard to do also. depending on what color it is
