Icon2 Eibach ProKit Springs - How Much Gap?

anyone here uses Eibach ProKit? how much gap do you have between tyre and fender?

i have it paired with ek9 shocks and 205/45/16 wheels. The gap between the tyre and fender is about 1.5 inch or 3 fingers. It doesnt look right to me..I feel like it's too high..

I'm thinking of changing the shocks to Koni or Eibach because they might be shorter than the oem shocks? or are they??

if you buy koni sports you're able to use the lower clip setting and drop the car another finger or finger and a half. the pro kit is, in my opinion a complete waste of money since the rates are barely stiffer than stock and the drop is barely lower. by now you may be wishing that you bought sportlines. if you really wanted to you could probably cut half a coil off your pro kit, the only worry is the soft rates and the car bottoming out

are you retarded? i did answer your question, the shock isn't shorter, it just has 2 clip settings and 3 in the rear that allow the spring perch to be set at different heights. {on the koni sport}

my main question is i want to know how much gap do other people have with their eibachs, because all the prokit pictures i see have lesser gap than mine. i want someone who has or had used prokit to tell me how low they got and what shocks they paired it with.

thank you for recommending the koni sport. will look into that.

I have them, I like them. I have around a 1-2 finger gap on my 98 hatch w/ Hx wheels. Are yours new? Mine took a while (about a month) of being on the car to get to that point. I should add I have mine on Koni's @ the 'normal' clip height.

weight of the car has a big impact on this. lighter springs, like the pro kit will go down 1/2" with a good sub box in the back. AC and other options up front also effect this. the koni sports would really be a nice upgrade though since you could lower the car with them and also be ready for other setups should you choose to do so.

Sell them and get ground control/koni yellows.

Careful with that recommendation. The lower circlip location is intended for stock springs. Lowering springs might not have enough spring rate to allow additional lowering (through the circlip) without frequent bottoming out.

you're 100% right on the drawback. if you use the lower clip with stockish rate springs that are already lower you run the risk of blasting the oil pan, your a arms or your tires.

this basically means if you want to ride low, you can't use stockish rate springs without problems elsewhere
