New Here....Starting Project (B16 Turbo in EG hatch)
Hi. I'm new to Honda, not new to projects. I just got an eg hatch and a B16a2. Literally just the block. No half axles, ecu, transmission, pumps, pulleys, lines etc... I really want to get started on dropping this sucker in. Question is, is there a way to get everything else I need other than the motor in a kit, or do I really need to find all the extra junk separately? Thanks!
welcome, your best bet is to build the motor piece by piece to your own liking. You'll be more satisfied.
Set yourself a power goal and research other people's builds and how they got there.

Thanks for the reply
Block just got bored .020 over. Crank balanced. JE Pistons and Eagle rods on the way. Head pressure tested and refurbished new valves and seats. Goals? 350whp (Not too big, right?)
As far as all the **** that goes with a swap (other than motor), where do I start?
What now? lol

You need all the rest of the pieces. Axles, Mounts, Tranny, ECU, Alternator, Belts, etc. How stripped is it exactly?
350WHP, so your going FI then.

I know I need all of that...
Say I was to buy a full b16 swap for it, then exclude the motor. Is that possible through anyone? Literally I have a B16 block and head sittin in the garage. Nothing else.I dont have exhaust mani, intake mani, pumps, starter, pulleys, fuel rail etc... No tranny, ecu, axles, nothing. Just head and block. Money not really an issue. Junk yard???
The hatch still has it's D16z6 in it which I should sell pretty soon.

junk yard isn't gonna have that. U can look on craigslist but basically u need a full swap and then u could sell the block and head from the new motor. I think that's ur best bet unless u find people with alot of parts. It's the little parts that add up, not the big ones. I ant through the same thing when building my D except I had some parts and I live where it's easy to source parts.

Thought of that.
See, I got the head and block for 100 bones! No joke! That's why I didn't go with full swap. Now, I'm just wondering if I'm gonna end up saving any money at all in the long run?!?
Best place to buy a swap????
