lately i've been having an issue with my brake system warning light coming on. it doesn't get solid red, it's more like a light red, and it comes on and shuts off from time to time. i have no leaks anywhere. brakes feel perfectly fine still. and, the master cylinder is full. does anyone know why this would be happening?
unrelated to the issue, is my check engine light. no codes, just a check engine light. now, yesterday i cleaned up my engine bay by removing the power steering and air conditioning. would removing air conditioning and the wires and relays related to that cause a check engine light? thank you.

The CEL shouldn't throw a code for removing your a/c and p/s... At least it didnt on mine years ago...
i got the same problem but it also started happening with the oil pressure light. mine goes on but dims. then goes off by itself. at random intervals too. so bump for an answer.

thats what i figured, they need service. but, what exactly needs servicing? lol. my car does have abs and the abs light is always on, blown fuse. and only recently did the actual brake warning light start to come on.
Have you checked you brake cylinder reservoir cap? even possibley the two little wire hook-ups attached to the cap. If they aren't plugged in right, they may be sending a false signal.

Circusraven has a good suggestion. I had a problem like this in my 91 when my alternator was going bad. I guess the car would shut down "non essential" systems including the anti lock breaking system. This would cause my anti lock and brake lights to come on but would dim out as I'd get up to freeway speed and the power would start to build up, you might get a voltometer and make sure your alternator is charging your battery effectively.
