i don't think you're ready to own an EM2 just yet. start with an EG, then work yourself up...

It takes a lot of $$$, more than other generations to make this car go and parts are not plentiful so you do pay top dollar for parts. EM2's are great looking, by far one of the best gen civics to me, but it to play you need to pay. So getting an EM2 for about 8k is well worth it. And go for the 04-05 body style, def better!

Lx has different gearing because it is non vtec. The ex has vtec and it starts at 2700rpms and it is not really noticeable. As far as suspension just go to corsport.com or any other website you would buy parts from and buy coilovers specifically for your model car, ie 01-03 and 04-05. Then get a RSX Type S rear sway bar and slap that on, (helps with understeer).

Amen to that! Haha I am not a fan of the 04-05 either. But yeah I would just say get an 03 EX if you really want an EM2. 01's have problems, and 02's depending on when they were made in the year have either suspension parts from 02+ or the 01, its annoying. But yeah like everyone else said it costs a pretty freaking penny to get these cars to actually get up and go.
