help! Hood Cable Broke!

Default help! Hood Cable Broke!

My hood cable broke wen i tried to pop it and now i have no way of poppin it...it was cut previously so i would jus pull it thru the grill but i pulled and it freakin came out and now its broken..wut can i do?

Jack the car up, remove the front splash shield, reach a screwdriver up from the bottom side of the engine bay and push the release lever over. It will be a pain to get to but it can be done.

The hood release cable can be purchased new from the dealer for less than $20 usually.

u think if i go buy it there they can put it on for me?? cuz i dnt really kno much about tht i've never messed with it b4

I just bought a hood release cable yesterday $14 and it is easy to replace

Yeah they can install it for you. But figure they will probably charge you about an hour of labor and if I'm not mistaken dealers usually charge like $150/hr for labor. Like Jason said, but it and try to replace it yourself. It really is pretty simple.
