1. 1st gears are ALL the same for hydro B-series.
2. 1st and 2nd gear sets include the mainshaft, so differing 1st and 2nd from what Honda offered is not an option.
3. For the most part, you can do whatever you want with the other three gears.

Basically, what you posted is a B16 trans with a GSR 3rd and LS 5th. If you want to do anything, just put the LS 5th in the B16 trans and be done with it. Don't even bother with 3rd. It's already fine.

I am sure. Like I said, all 1st gears are the same, so it doesn't matter with that.

And I'm presuming low 9's in the 1/8th mile? Which means... stock GSR swap on okay tires and anything but an LS trans. Nothing crazy about that.

hondabull is right. ALL b series first gear are the same...from the integra LS to the type r, so changing them will be idiotic. Its the 3rd and 5th gears that u wanna isolate because 3rd is where ur engine/transmission will work the hardest (other than first gear) and 5 for cruising. So its up to u what 3rd gear u use, and the LS fifth is good for highway cruising without high revving and burning gas

yes its possible to swap to a b16 or type r final drive but you will also need to swap the diff. wherever i see the type r final drive set it comes with the output shaft and first gear. anyone know what is different about the first gear since all b-series trannys have the same ratio for first?
