Default S1 cable tranny problem

Okay I did my search button but I haven't seen someone with the same exact problems as mines.

first off my cars a 91 Civic with a b18a1 swap using a s1 tranny.

For some reason I woke up this morning and my car was doing fine. Reverse out forgot something in the house and put it to 1st gear it went in fine. But when I got out of my drive way and started to drive 1st gear wouldnt go in anymore. So pretty much I drove on second gear checked if all other gears worked fine and they did 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse works fine. I don't see why 1st is not working. What's weird is I figure that something was wrong with the syncros but usually even if it's the syncros wouldn't it go in gear if the car's off?

So to some it up; 1st gear won't go into gear it's not my cable and it's not the clutch cause it's been over a year that I had this swap the transmission never gave me an issue. Whats more weird is that it just happened. I never had this issue before.

that is weird that it wont go into gear even with the car off... maybe something with the shift rod/shifter assembly?

It could be the synchros.

Don't want to hear that it could be synchros...but I'll do a tranny flush and put some 10w40 like other's from another site told me to do so...if that doesnt work I guess that it's time for a new build maybe some shorter ratios from a b16 with an LS 5th gear...we'll see...

more advices are welcome plz

If everything seems good with the motor off and clutch in, then your clutch is screwed. Any part of it, could be the release bearing to a broken spring in th e pressure plate.

but wouldnt it still go in gear if the car's off. I mean clutch doesnt even play a role at that moment.

Sorry I meant to say it's not going into 1st gear. But don't worry ALL i got it fixed. Stupid problem. There just wasnt enough fluid. Threw about 2 quarts in and it was all good.

it only holds just over 2 quarts when full, so you were driving it around with basically no fluid in it? how does that happen
