Not sure about the G3, but on my G2 my passenger window switch didn't work, yet I could move the window with the driver passenger switch. Turns out, the driver switch was bad (not the passenger side one). I figured this out after I replaced the motor and passenger switch... I would try the driver switch first, since it is easiest. It has a greater chance of failing than the actual motor.
I had the same problem when I bought my DB7. Driver side front wouldn’t work so I bought a window regulator thinking that would fix the problem. Installed the regulator and my window still didn't work. So I bought a master power window switch and that fixed everything. If you want, I could check on my spare window regulator which wires you need to test to see if your switch or motor is bad.
