jumper harness help??
93 civic cx with a 96 b18b swap.
i did some research, and found out that my 96 ls is a OBD2a and the 92-95 civics are OBD1. my interior harness leading to the ecu is completely ****ed up and there loose wires and ****. the engine harness is a vtec one, so my engine throws a vtec code. my question...where can i find a clean uncut 93 civic underdash harness? and for how much $? and i have a p28 ecu. is this ok with the non vtec engine? which ecu should i get for non vtec? and if i get the clean underdash harness...do i have to get a jumper cable to the OBD2a ecu?
please help...im so confused

Check the classified section, craigslist, ebay, local junkyards, etc for the underdash harness. You're getting the VTEC trouble code because of the ECU you're using. The ECU is looking for the VTEC solenoid and/or the pressure switch, but there isn't one on the B18B, so it's throwing the code. If you get the P28 chipped, and run a B18B basemap, it will be fine. Otherwise it's not going to be running the way it should be, seeing as how the fuel and ignition timing maps will be for a smaller engine. The other legit option is to find an OBD1 P74. Either way will also get rid of the vtec trouble code. If you want to use the OBD2A ECU, then yes, you still need an OBD1 to OBD2A conversion/jumper harness. You need it because the plugs for the ECU are completely different than the OBD1 plugs.
