Default Shim clearance ??

I just installed obx lsd in b16a hydro tranny but I have a problem understanding with shim clearance!

I have honda manual and it saying clearance should be .000-.004. I measure my old shim 1.35 and it showing .000 clearance but I m not sure if that was too tight cause I try use .001 to .003 feeler gauge. But it wont go through between lsd and shim.

I just want ask if is it safe to use or order other shim?

thanks

If the gauge won't go in then that is not the clearance. So if you can't get a .001 in, then the clearance is at most .0099. As long as it spins with zero clearance it is ok, but there are better clearances to use based on the type of driving you'll be doing.

I should have a few spare 1.30mm shims if you wanna try one.
