D16A6/ZC single camshaft... Are they the same????

Icon2 D16A6/ZC single camshaft... Are they the same????

What makes these two engines diffent? and if they are diffent is there any change of using D16A6 parts on an ZC single camshaft?

what does this actually mean tho? can the "actual lift" numbers be put in perspective to hp gain? however miniscule it is?

It means the cams are not the same.

While the sohc zc mpfi is nominally rated at a higher hp, the numbers are bogus anyway. The 421 exhaust manifold alone is enough difference compared to the a6 4-1 short choker.

No ones bothered to put the zc cam in a stock a6, probably cuz the difference is too minimal. At least that's why I haven't bothered.

gotcha, i just wasnt sure what the term "actual lift" meant. how miniscule is the benefit of having a zc head on an a6 block?

The only difference is the cam, which Tyson has already replied about.

Having personal experience with both motors and even swapping the cams between them i like the A6 cam better.
