ok so my friend has the 93 del sel with a b18c ITR and one day it just stopped sparking and we cant figure out why it wont spark.
the computer is fine
the distributor is good
the coil is good

what else can make this spark. please any info would help.

Is the CEL on? Does the fuel pump prime?

 

how do you know the dizzy is good? have you swapped it for a known working one?

 

the fuel pump primes and we bought a used one and the kid said it worked but we dont have the 500 bucks for a new one and we cant find anyone in utah with this motor and thereis no check engine light

sorry he just told me it throws a secondary o2 sensor code and a knock sensor but only cuz it has the eg wiring harness so there is no wires and it was running with those codes

 

damn... thats weird.. are you spark plug wires good? all your grounds on good?

 

yyes they are thats one thing we checked first

 

Has the igniter unit in the distributor been tested?

With the key in ON(II), do you measure battery voltage on the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil and igniter unit in the distributor? What voltage do you measure on the Yel/Grn wire attached to the igniter unit?

Did the timing belt snap?

 

i will have him check that and get back with you and no it has not the motor has only 50k on it
