Default 17130-PM6-G01 PCV valve in a type-r engine ?

Hello,

I got a 17130-PM6-G01 from a honda dealer, cause the mechanic told me it whould be better for my catch can setup.

What engine is the PM6 from ?

What do you think, can use it in my ITR engine without problems, is this a good update for my catch can setup.
Will it decrease the pressure in my block or not ?

Thanks in advance.

Don't set it up like Endyn does. You'll blow out all the oil into the catch can. Just leave the stock one, and hook the rest of the system up to it. Leave off the PCV on the catch can.

This'll work just fine as long as the can is baffled. If it isn't, well, it probably won't cath anything.

PM6 = D16A6 = 88-91 crx/civic Si motor

But honda routinely shares parts between motors...

pm6 denotes 88-91 d16a6 or sohc ZC motors, check any 88-91 MPFI motor they all seem to have the same part # for the PCV

I want to leave the pcv valve in the block intead of the the pcv on top of catch can.

My question is, can i change the stock pcv valve to the new PM6 ?

Cause when i blow on the stock and the PM6, the PM6 let´s more air to pass and has less resistance to air.

Thanks,

Pinota

Physical fitment is not an issue. I swapped to the PM6 valve and the two are virtually identical on the outside except for color.
