5th h22 accord issue. cranks but wont start
ok so im driving on the freeway and this is my daily driver. complete stock h22a jdm motor. ok so im driving on freeway all of a sudden my car bogs down and the rpms drop then go back up. i give it gas but the car doesnt accelerate. so then the rpms drop again and my car shuts completely off. i get off the car look for any leaks and look under the car and my cat is glowing red. i figured mayb the cat got clogged so thats y it wouldnt start up again. i cut the cat off just so i can drive it back home thinking that would solve the problem but it didnt. so now my car just cranks and wont start. how can i fix this? please help. thnx
Is the CEL on? Test your ignition system, coil, ignitor etc..etc... As for the glowing CAT, what ECU/tune are you running your H22 with? Sounds as though you may be running a bit on the rich side.
i second the ignition system idea. coil, ignitor, cap, rotor, wires and plugs.
test for spark with a spark testor or a long screwdriver...

Oh on other thing that I forgot to throw in. Check all of your ground connections. Make sure that one didn't come loose or become dirty w/corrosion.
i have no cel light on. and how do i test for a spark with the distributor exactly??? and im running a p13 ecu and also i found out this morning the tps sensor wasnt even on it was just hanging. so did the cat glowing red have anything to do with my car shutting off?
