i just removed my old motor and put in a new one..i didnt touch any of the wiring just unplugged them and then replugged them into this motor etc. and soon as i put on the termials to the battery my thermostat housing sensor was smoking then i seen a instant smoke come from my cluster also ..i pulled off the termials quickly to seee wat was goin on ..then i reconnected them and all the lights on my dash were on ..and wen i put my turn signal on it makes this loud noise and my temp guage needle jumps ...could anyone help me out...the car is a 92 integra

sounds like you shorted something out. thats weird that it made a noise tho.

 

Did you get the terminals backwards? You have the chassis ground and starter power hooked up to the right place in the fusebox?

 

sounds like that might be the issue hopefully fuses gave way instead of wires

no i didnt ive always have the postive termial hooked up , and i just always plug and unplug the negative one..and as far as for the ground yes its hooked up and the starter is hooked up..i didnt mess around with any wires wen i ddid the swap and just put them to the side ....and as far is for that noise its always doin it everytime i put on the blinker..everrythikng works as far as for lights ..i think i shorted something out with that connector at the thermostat housing. since i unplugged it everything seems fine besides the cluster ...im gna start up the car tomorow and see wat happens
