What Is The Trick To Remove Ecu Pins?!
i have been messing with it for an hour and cannot get the ecu pin out, does anyone have a writeup with (PICTURES)? i have read tons of write ups but they are not helping, i have the tab lifted up and i have pushed my metal stick on everything i can.
There is kindof a trick to it, but it's hard to explain, and requires using 3 hands, a paperclip, plus various other appendages. Even knowing the trick, they're an amazing pain to get out, but you can get them out without destroying the plug.
On the female side, there is a little vertical notch on top of the horizontal slot. If I remember correctly, you have to stick your straightened-out paperclip in there and feel for the release tab, while pulling on the wire with your other hand, and maintaining upward pressure on the white lock piece on top of the plug with your third hand. Once you find the release tab, assuming you have constant outward pressure on the wire, you'll know it, because the wire will pop right out.
A small screwdriver kit for repairing glasses can really help with this, as one of them is just the right length to pry up on the white lock with the same hand that you're pulling the wire with, leaving the other one free to jimmy the release tab.
I'll look around and see if I can find the pictures I used to figure it out.

i cant really see because its so small, i think thats my main problem, and the plastic got bent a little so it made it harder to see, i have tried everything i can but cant make it budge, but yea if you could find pictures that would really help me out.
^^pictures are useless im sure he could figure that much out on his own...
the pictures dont show whats going on inside. hold up the connector to the light and look at a blank spot, then look at how the pin is designed, that should tell you what you gotta do.

The *** is the thing your sticking in
the --- is the metal pin
the _____ is the plastic
the / is the bitch
the trick is to stick your pointy deal in the connector and push that bitch upwards allows the pin to slide backwards. i find that you have to PUSH THE WIRE FORWARD TOWARDS YOUR POINTY DEAL while levering your pointy deal upwards in order to get the bitch all the way up. You'll feel that you've pushed the bitch up and then you can laugh as you gently slide the wire out the back.
when you figure it out you'll be laughin' its too easy

Its kind of hard, but it can be done. You will need two jewelers screw drivers. When I remove ECU pins I go at then from the wire side personally.

In this picture you see how there is a little sort of gap above the wire and the top of the pin? I slide the jewlers screwdriver in there because the locking tab will lift up as you insert the driver in this way. Then hold the wire against the screwdriver and remove both at the same time. The pin and wire will slide right out.
Now if you messed the wire up you will have to use a second screwdriver of paper clip to push the pin out from the female side as you have the locking clip lifted from the wire side.
