Weird alarm problem...went off till it killed the battery
So like the title says I had my car parked and while I was gone the alarm went off for like two hours. When i got their it had killed the battery and just the backup siren w/backup battery was going off. After I turned the siren off i wiggled the ground wire which i noticed was a little loose on the terminal and the alarm started going off again. So i disconnected the power wire to the alarm, jumped the car and went home. So today after charging my battery i started messing with the alarm and eventually after pressing arm/disarm enough it stopped going off. It seems to be working fine now.
What would possibly make it go off for that long, i need to figure out so it wont happen again. I mean it wasn't too bad this time especially since it took my city cops two hours to respond to someones call that a car alarm was going off. Otherwise it probably would have got towed since i wasn't there, and it was really obnoxious in a residential area. Then when they get there they recognized me from work so it was all good, but I doubt I will be that lucky again.

make and model of my car is in my sig and the alarm is a clifford matrix... i am not sure the exact model, but yeah sorry that was pretty stupid i didn't mention that
Sounds to me like it is a grounding problem.
What ground are you talking about, main alarm brain, back-up batt. siren or back-up batt. ground, and where is that ground?
Model of alarm may help.94
