16" Honda Fit HFP Wheels ON a Del Sol
Does anybody know if the 2007 model 16" Honda Fit HFP wheels will fit on a 1993 Honda Del Sol with factory rear discs?
I know that the wheels will physically fit on the car but does anybody know if those wheels will rub or have problems because of the offset? The wheels are 16" 4x100 with 55 offset. I am looking to install 205-40-16 tires on them. My car is completely stock with no modifications to the suspension, brakes, control arms, anti-roll bars, or anything. I am not looking to drop the ride height at all either. I just have a shot at some of these rims for really cheap and want to know if they will work?

Anybody?
If I use these rims and need to add a spacer to accommodate the backspace? If you use a spacer can you use a 5mm spacer to make up the 55mm backspace?

I can't see why they would rub or anything. People put those size of wheels and tires on lowered Sol's without many problems. My friend has 215/45/16 wheels/tires and a 2"+ drop and it doesn't rub.
The 40 profile will help your clearance too, though I tend to like the look of 45 better on 16" wheels on Civics and Sol's.

thanks for the information. I checked out the offset on the stock Del Sol Si 14" rim and it was 45mm so, adding 10mm is a little less than 1/3" on the total track. Also, with 205/40/16 tires my total width will only increase by 3/4". So, it seems with a car that is stock ride height I won't come close at all to scrubbing the tires.
i know im bringing back a old thread but im runing into the same problem except the tires on the wheels are 185 series. Would they fit or is this a crazy idea i should just back away from?

I realize i am just getting rear a previous line yet i am just runing in to the same difficulty besides the actual tires within the small wheels usually are 285 collection. Would they fit as well as will be this specific a ridiculous notion i would simply retreat from?
