Default Rear Main oil seal?

I have a b18b longblock I was wondering how would i go about Installing the rear oil seal. I already have a new seal and retainer put together and was wondering where to apply a oil to the seal lip? is that the area where the seal contacts the crank or no?

also I wasnt sure if i had to use some type of rtv sealant on the retainer cover to block area?

please help,
TIA Serdar

Yes apply a light coat of oil to where the seal rides on the crankshaft and yes defiantely use some type of RTV sealant whether it be Permatex brand or Hondabond with the supplied gasket. Thats not something you want leaking.
