Where do you guys buy these sort of things?
Just purchased another project (91 crx) and need both of these items for the car. (water is getting into the car when it rains)

Advanced auto doesnt carry them...
Do you just go to the dealer and pay dealer prices?

 

anybody have to replace these items before?

I would check with a dealer.. weather stripping shouldn't be too outrageous.

Apparently this part has been discontinued.

Dealers across the nation do not have the door weatherstripping for CRX's.

Anybody have an idea on where to get this part?

Doesnt make much sense, as with car's as old as ours this is a wear item that will need replacing....

 

It's getting worse for CRX's. I keep finding that more and more part inventories are being depleted and Honda has pretty much discontinued much of their production. You might be able to find a comparable weatherstripping from a different car...maybe even a domestic, but modification will be likely.

with a wear item like that, I dont think this will work. Any weatherstrip I get off of a car in the junkyard will have the same 15 plus years of weather exposure and wear as the part on my own car.

I would think that somebody should get into the business of producing NOS (new old stock) parts for these cars. Just like I can still find weatherstripping for a 71 superbeetle, for instance.

These were popular cars, I bet some money could be made by an entrepenuer.
