aiptek action HD with DIY powered external mic
has anyone used something like in this bimmer thread?
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1036795
the guy added a capacitor, 9v battery, and a resistor between the camera and the mic. the sound is amazing as it's able to filter out all the wind and leave only the engine noise. however i built one, but i can get it to pick up anything at all. and yes, i did double check my connections and the voltage on the battery. it's audible when i tap the mic on a table or blow into it really hard.
someone please shed some light on this topic. thanks.

errr.. i'll see what this second cable i made sounds like tomorrow. i have too many logins and not about to make one just for 1 post haha. i have a feeling it's the mic that giving me problems.
mic doesnt work. i just ordered the parts listed on that thread and see if it makes a difference. i think it's my mic since the sensitivity dB is totally different than what that dude used. plus, it's rated for 10Volt, not 2Volts.
