Default Automate Keyless entry problem.

Hi, I jsut bought a 04 Civic EX last week and my car came with 2 remote, one is stock grey one while the other one is "AUTOMATE" which also work as keyless engine start.

Now I have a question, when i press the lock button twice on the stock remote, it provides a BEEP sound to confirm, but... does my AUTOMATE remote provide this feature too? I tried to double tap the lock button on the automate but no sound was given.

Any ppl know how could I activate that if it exists?

and btw, what is the function of the AUX button on it? THANKS a lot.

the aux is typically a trunk release button if equipped. and the automate will only beep if the horn output wire is hooked up, I assume it isn't.

they may or may not share the same settings. It depends on how the istaller put it in. The automate brain has a bunch of outputs, Lock, Unlock, trunk release, parking lights, horn, etc. and if you don't connect one it just doesn't work. Even if the factory system does.

It seems that your car has two alarm systems. One for remote start and one that came from the factory.
