Default AT trasmission problems. 92 civic DX

I’m having problems with shifting in to 3rd. Listen to this: in the morning I worm up the car and I take off, It will shift in 1st to 2nd and stay in 2nd and I rev it up and nothing, I come to a stop, I take off aging , about a minute I hear a grinding noise , after that it is fine. The car will shift with no problem all day. I will stop go to the store come back 1hr later no problem. I went to the dealer to ask about this problem to the guy that only dose transmissions all day, and he tell me that is a first time he has heard about a problem like that. I have change the oil 2 times with Honda AT transmission fluid and still the same. It only happens in the morning. What you guys think.

Ok. This is a Automatic trany, in the morning I Start the car let it Word up (engine) and then I put it in D4 and I take of, shift from 1st to 2nd when is about to shift to 3rd it will not shift, it will only rev up. I come to a stop, I start again shift from 1st to 2nd (on the second try) will shift very soft like to smooth. After that it will shift with no problem all gears. All day long. Only in the morning. I know that the oil from the trany might be cold but, I do not have that problem with any of my other cars that are automatic.

push the lever from D1 to D2 to D3 to warm it up and then back. sounds like you just need to source out a new tranny, an AT civic tranny...$100 from just about anywheres
