Default Wheel sticking out past fender

My driver side wheel sticks out or the fender well by about 1/2 an inch. I have measure the upper and lower controll arms and the appear to be the same on each side. The camber on this side is .9* caster is .5* (*=degrees). The only possible thing i can think of would be a bad lower ball joint or a previous owner replaced the knuckle with the wong one. The car drives straight.

Correct knuckle? upper ball joint?

ball joint does not look straight up and down?

Has the body been "straightened"?

I'm not trying to be an *** or think you are dumb but it might be as simple as the wrong wheel size, offset, tire size, I know you would notice a wheel spacer. Assuming this problem was there when you bought it. Again not trying to come off as an *** but that is sticking way out and it is straight up and down.

all knuckles have a part code stamped into them, so check for the code and compare them.

Is the car a "Salvage" title by any chance?

My first car was a salvage Hatch and had the same b.s. I thought all Ef's were a pain in the butt to modify suspension because of that car. Then I got another EF and they are like Legos for big kids.

back to the offset. If the wheels and tires are all the same offset and there is no wheel spacer or Salvage title then I would suspect damaged or incorrect arms.

From the picture it looks like you have a fair bit of positive camber. Could just be the picture though.

i do have .9 degrees positive.

The car is not a salvage title. I did find some evidence that it was i a minor wreck but it was on the passenger side. Also the two upper controll arms are the same distance away from the inside of the fender. It seems like the knuckle on the side that sticks out is just a little meatier than the passenger. I notice this just below the nut for the upper ball joint. both sides have the same wheels and only the driver side has an issue.

Time to get out the measuring tape and compare drivers to passengers side suspension components.

That would be your best bet. Also, check the stamped numbers on the UCA's and the LCA's on the pass. side and the driver side and make sure they are both the same.

You are running a 94+ Teg knuckle, that is why you have this suspension issue. The suspension geometry of the Teg is COMPLETLY different than that of the EF.
