Wheel Pushed Back on Passenger Side
So Last Year I hit a curb taking a turn too fast in my 2000 Civic EX Coupe and ended up bending the rim, i replaced that immediately because the steering wheel was shaking. i hit the curb straight on at about 45 MPH. When i look at the passenger side wheel compared to the driver side it looks pushed back a bit and the car pulls to the right. I had an alignment done and my caster was way different from the driver side. the shop that did the alignment told me that i should replace the Front Lower control arm. i did that and the wheel is still the same. i ended up also replacing the Upper control arm since it seemed bent too. i have a knuckle that is waiting to be installed, but that damn axle nut is a bitch to remove. so until i install the knuckle do you Honda tech masters think i might be missing anything else and is it a possibility that i might have bent the sub-frame?

Good probablility that the subframe is bent. Going that fast and smacking the curb I'm surprised it didn't just bend the rim but break it. Did it blow the tire when it hit?

The tire never blew, the rim just got bent. I'm looking to have a shop loosen the axle nut so that i can install the knuckle and we'll see where this takes me as far as this whole alignment business goes.

No air compressor / impact sockets or air drill/wrench?

Go to Sears/Lowes, but a 32mm 1/2" socket, a 1/2" breaker bar, and a 2 foot length of lead pipe that will fit around the breaker bar. You won't have any problem getting the axle nut off with that, even if it was spot welded on.

Re: Wheel Pushed Back on Passenger Side
I will be the first to say....
A standard breaker and socket will NOT get the axle nut off if it is on there really tight. Even with a cheater bar.
Me and a couple friends broke 6 before we had an air gun and that still didn't work b/c the compressor was not strong enough. And we had tons of PB on it.
Ended up getting a 6ft fence post and a 1-1/4 wrench and busting it off.
So...if that sucker is on there...don't even bother using a ol' 1/2 breaker.

Re: Wheel Pushed Back on Passenger Side
I have removed literally hundreds of honda axle nuts with nothing more than a half inch breaker bar and a cheater bar. There are torque specs to those nuts, there is no reason for the nut to be on at more than 120ft. lbs. Try heating it with a torch, some people use lock-tite where they don't need to.

I have also removed multiple with a simple breaker bar.
However, I have came across a couple that took a bit more than your average breaker.

Yeah, I have the 32mm Socket Piece and wrench, but that nut is a bitch, i''ll have to try finding a pipe. i went to the junkyard today and picked up a sub-frame just in case, it was only $60 so I'm not stressing it. when i get some time i'll install it and let you guys know if that helped with the whole wheel set back and alignment.

Re: Wheel Pushed Back on Passenger Side
I've had them totaly seize up, and been forced to ruin the axle to get the damn thing off.
Get a braker bar, something with a lifetime warranty! Harbor freight is good for this, just keep the reciept.
Put it on and give the damn thing hell. Cheater pipe is reccomended.

In the 8+ years i've been playing with these cars I've never seen one come loose that was torqued correctly.
Thats why you dent the nut, also, 1 time use only is recomended.
