Default 01 civic evap canister removal question

Hello - new to the forum.

I have a 2001 civic EX

I need to know how to disconnect one of the hoses on the evap canister.
If you are looking up at the canister from underneath and facing the rear of the car there is a block on the evap canister that has the hose which connects the evap canister to the two way valve.
On top of this is a hose which runs from the canister to somewhere on the top of the fuel tank. The hose has an "L" where it connects to evap canister.
How do I disconnect this hose from the canister? I never saw a connection like this. All the other vacuum hoses use a cheap meteal clamp to hold the lines.

Any help is appreciated
