Okay im in Cali do i need to go ref after the conversion? the transmission right now wont let me go over 2k after that the car revs but doesnt move..can this be just the tranny or wat other things should i look at?? this is for my sis's car and she just bought a new car a while back so she has no use for this car so i might drive it...let me know guys..thanks

 

nope, dont even tell them, its not illegal do this, even in cali.
throw the tranny out and switch to a stick. i could be the ecu, or the tranny is shot.
any cels?

 

can be a spark plug wire. check your wires if your lucky one will be broken.
but the car should move atleast alittle if its the wires.
if not then u have bigger problems
MANUAL is better anyway

 

wait so when i smog and the car runs as a manual instead of an auto aint i gonna have some issues??...the car does move but its poops out at 2k every time...havent had time due to work just recharged the battery gonna have a look at it tommorrow morning though..thanks guys

 

i had kinda the same problem but would stop at 3k.. seemed like i was trying to take off in 5th gear from a dead stop. you could be running one only 3 pistons, for sure check the spark plugs. you know how to do it?
turn on car remove spark plugs one after another.. they should be making a sparking sound and plug them all back in nice and snug... dont remove all of them together
