Default Coilovers ride hard

hey guys, i installed coilovers on my civic the other day, i dropped it around 3 inches, which is a reasonable drop, and for now when i go over some things in the rode, it bounces in the back, do u think it will reduce a bit after a while when the coils get used to the car or somethin, idk

are you on stock shocks? three inches is alot.. it also depends on the spring rate.. i would raise it up and inch and see if it rides better

are the shocks adjustable, you may try to set them softer, otherwise your SOL, if your on stocks shocks thats a problem as well with a 3 inch drop

There is your problem. Get some different springs. And how can your springs be stock and you lower it?

Well your problem is that you drop your coilovers too low and your stock shocks can't handle lowered springs/coilovers.

What kind of coilovers is it?

Get aftermarket shocks and get a 4 wheel alignment.

You guys are making this more complicated than it is haha.

He got cheap sleeves and he slapped them on OEM shocks. OEM shocks cant handle that large of a drop. Im guessing these are the OEM shocks from factory, so they were already blown, but you cant really tell with stock springs. Bouncing=blown shocks.

Get some Koni Yellows, Tokico Illuminas, or Skunk2 shocks. People are aggressively lowered with those and they have no complaints.

Next time dont go cheap on your suspension please.

listen to this guy here ^

I'm willing to bet a paycheck that the description for those coilovers didn't read "once installed, your civic will have the ride characteristics of a brand new cadillac, for only $29!"

Those generic coil over sleeves arent that bad. Ill admit, they do ride pretty stiff but they are decent. As long as you pair them with new shocks you should be fine.
