Need Front Speakers/Amp Suggestions
Hey,
I just bought a hatch without front speakers...so I'm going to put some nice ones in. I hear that to get the best sound quality you will need to run an amp to them.
My price range is around ~$200. I want something that will be easy/cheap to install yet provide excellent sound. I hear Alpine Type-R's would work...but any suggestions? Any advice about any good amps?
Thanks

go on ebay and grab a set of rockford fosgate 3 way components, all it is, is a 2way set with an extra tweeter, i bought some for like 90 shipped and rocked them very hard on a concept 425w amp for 2 years and they stayed clear and very loud without any problems. for an amp, does get a low quality amp, because your wanting quality.. try finding an amp by one of these companies, ARC, Mcintosh, PPI Art series, Zapco, Xtant, Alpine, or an equivalent amp, finding at your price may be tough, but i have even used like a memphis 200w 2ch before for components and it worked great, i found it at a pawn shop for like 75 bucks..
$200 is a tight budget for component speakers and an amp... If you go that route you'll need to run power/ground/remote wire, re-run speaker wire to the 2 front speakers and mount the amp and the x-overs. Start out with a nice head unit and build your system from there...
The R types are going to be to deep. Get some Focal 165ca. they are $199 a pair then save up for a good amp. which will be around another $199. Last save up for some Dynamat and cover the whole door. I do a couple of these set ups a week and it has amazing low end and sounds awsome. Wont even need an amp then. My .02
go to www.cadencesound.com click on outlet store and order the 6 1/2 CWM6-KIT they have very good sound nice cross overs and liquid cooled silk tweeters for onley $89 bucks.
Bump this. I'm looking for some good ~$100 front speakers. I want them to fit in the stock location without severe modification.
Also looking for a good $50-$100 Amp. What kind will I need?
