brake lamp problems!
I have a 99 civic ex. Just this past week, i notice that my brake lamps weren't lighting up when i apply the brakes. However, my parking/running, signal, and reverse light seems to be fine. I checked my fuse and it was completely fine too. So i decided to replace the light bulbs. When i installed it, i applied the brakes and there was light. I checked the brake bulbs and the bottom wire of the bulb was burnt or corroded. it was like that when i first took out the previous bulbs too. could i have a short circuit? help me, this is getting ridiculous. i do not want a dumb a** ticket for this.
any help will help!
here's a picture of my brake light bulb where the brake wire is burnt/corroded.

look closely and you can see the burnt/corroded on the left side of the bulb in the picture.

At the Grn/Wht wire attached to the bulb receptacle, what voltage do you measure when you press the brake pedal with and without the engine running? Any other electrical problems?

so you put in a new bulb and it burnt out after how long? did your horn stop working at the same time as your bulb problem? if its not the fuse i believe its labeled as STOP then you have to find a schematic and see where those circiuts share a connection..check for corrosion or burnt wires.. that would be my first step
